Agama Journal, Issue 14 The Wall of Silence May '17

There exists a wall of silence that keeps the incredibly effective and esoteric truths that are spiritual reaching you.

Some other time, so what time is better than right now in my previous entry, I mentioned the idea of the Wall of Silence briefly, and suggested I’d return to this point? I had personally maybe not heard about this notion until a year that is few. The Wall of Silence refers to a phenomenon by which certain information is somehow kept from reaching the masses for anyone not familiar with the concept. In certain cases it is purposely kept key by people and companies, because it could contradict their interests for instance when some actions associated with the members of the group can be questioned if they appear to not be based on the philosophy that group is supposed to represent. Another cause for strict secretiveness of certain information is related to your notion of not throwing pearls to the swine’s. There was also the full situation in which even if when it is presented to the public, it simply does not filter through or rapidly becomes relatively obscure.

The Wall of Silence seems to own first been found in between 19th and 20th century literature, albeit with varied usages. Generally, the term referred to a real or blockage that is figurative communication. There was by the way also a movie titled A Wall of Silence. This 1993 film concerns a whole story in which somebody who's trying to move past some dark historical times during the her life experiences in Argentina is made to relive them, and it is not really representative associated with the concept I’m endeavoring to elaborate upon. On the other hand, the book titled, Wall of Silence: The Untold Story of the Medical Mistakes That Kill and Injure Millions of Americans 2003 does embody the concept better. Nevertheless, we won’t go any more into the details of this book because the name already gets the main point across.

A few topics, and fields where the Wall of Silence is common are: traditional Yoga, parapsychology or parascience, religious training, reaching high states of consciousness, aliens, afterlife what takes place after death, metaphysics, exo-politics, neo-archeology, the truth behind magic rituals, alternative medicine, while the nature of Shiva consciousness as presented by the rare teachings of Kashmiri Shaivism. As noted, the majority are esoteric topics by nature, which together essentially compile up to all of the items that fascinates me personally probably the most if I might comment! Furthermore, the topics frequently relate with the occult, and are significantly misunderstood and misrepresented as a consequence.

A good exemplary case of the Wall of Silence is represented by Nicola Tesla’s inventions. Being an advanced engineer and physician, he had been inventing amazing items that would possibly create large-scale technological advances in the world. However, it's rather peculiar that somehow these never ever manifested sufficient to achieve the masses and be put to make use of. After he died in 1943, his tips and inventions were for some reason forgotten.

Love and Light,
Aldona
